The Central Coast borders Sydney, Newcastle and Hunter Valley regions. It is centrally locatedĀ to be available to a broad range of members and riders who want to take part in this amazing sport.

Working Equitation is a sport developed in about 1996 by the founding countries Portugal, Spain, France and Italy. See one of the first videos made about the sport in 1996 at Morgado Lusitano in Portugal. https://youtu.be/eMpr70OvlWY

The objectives are to maintain collection, suppleness and obedience during the 4 phases of international WAWE events. The phases are Dressage in a 20x40m arena, Ease Of Handling over an obstacle course (Quality & Control), Penalty Phase over an obstacle courseĀ and cattle penning. In Australia the cattle phase is not yet a permanent phase due to the cattle phase not being included in the accumulative points of an individual during the 1st three phases. International events also do not have the cattle included for individual points and only have the cattle phase for teams of 4 riders made up from any of the participating countries.

The objective of our club is about making the horse the priority. It doesnt matter what the training is called as long as the principals are gentle and understanding of the horse as the priority.
